Programme : This module aims to enable PhD students to create a research poster in English by helping them to adapt their writing style to the format of the poster, and to make it readable and attractive
Pré-requis : The participants need to have at least a B1 level (intermediate) in English, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (https://rm.coe.int/16802fc1bf)
Regular attendance in class necessary.
In order to participate in good conditions, participants must have a computer connected to the internet with sound, microphone and webcam.
Méthode pédagogique : The PhD students will take part in various writing activities to work on the linguistic aspects that are necessary to write academic English and to get feedback from their peers. They will compose a 4 to 5-page-long article that will be reviewed by their peers.
Throughout the module, the participants will create their self-learning portfolio, to visualise their progress and keep track of useful tools or methods to improve their English.
Compétences acquises à l'issue de la formation : On successful completion of this module, the participants’ proficiency in written academic English should have been enhanced, and they should be able to write clear academic texts with a high degree of grammatical accuracy and in an appropriate style.
They will also acquire methodological tools and resources for a self-sufficient pursuit of their work.
