Objectifs :
Learn the basics of R language and manipulating structured data for analysis

Programme :
Introduction to R and the R Studio Integrated Development Environment:
- Programming in R: types, variables, loops, functions, conditionals...
- Working with data: loading data, saving, typing, data frames...
- Simulating random variables
- Univariate and bivariate statistical indicators and representation using basic R functionality
- Overview of some libraries: ggplot2, tidyverse, dplyr...
- Overview of R Studio's built-in features for communication and interaction: notebook, markdown, quarto, shiny...

Pré-requis :
A personal computer with internet access.
The resources will be provided in English but the trainer will be able to help both in French and English.
Priori the tutorial, each PhD student will be asked to install R and R Studio : https://www.r-project.org/ for R and https://posit.co/products/open-source/rstudio/ for R Studio.

Méthode pédagogique :
The content will be provided as a tutorial where each PhD student will be able to go at its own pace and will be individually helped to progress by the teacher.
All the practice will be done using R Studio and will not require anything else than a personal computer with internet access.
