Objectifs :
Formation à la cryogénie expérimentale (connaissance de base de : cryostat, liquide cryo, transfert, notions d'instrumentation (sondes BT, Pt100 carbone, , technique de vide, électronique..)

Programme :
Course
- Cryogenic fluids
- Cryostats (principle of operation)
- Reaching low temperatures
Hands-on (one experiment among)
- Superconductivity of Indium
- Second sound velocity in superfluid Helium
- Specific heat and latent heat of liquid Helium
- Characterization of hand-made Josephson junctions
All these experiments allow to discover the basic techniques in cryogenics


Pré-requis :
Thermodynamics and Solid State Physics (1st cycle)
